I'm curious how his performance goes this year especially considering I believe he's a UFA next year.

After having to give Bushrod help constantly over the past several seasons, against good pass rushers, does anyone really believe the organization will let Brown get away especially if he shows that he can pass block against good DE's & OLB's one on one?

Payton has done an excellent job of game planning & getting chips & help for Bushrod over the years but it has to excite him over the possibility of not having to help his left tackle out. That just allows Payton to get a another receiver(slot), running back or tight end out as a receiving option.

Another thing to factor in is continuity along the offensive line. I don't think the organization would want to go into a 3rd straight season with a 3rd straight different right tackle. If he shines, I think Payton & Loomis do everything possible to keep Brown.

My only two Brown memories have been of him getting his shite pushed in by Chris Long

I'm pretty sure it was released later that Brown was trying to play through an injury that game since Strief was already out. His trying to play through it only worsened the injury causing him to miss the remainder of 2011. You can't really fault a guy for trying to play through an injury in that situation. He was trying to show both the coaches & his teammates that he belonged.

He was in on this play as an extra tackle in the jumbo package. That was his first live action to speak of. Yes, it was a mistake by a young player but that was 3 seasons ago. I would believe he has learned & grown some since then.

Obviously it's easier to stand out as an OT when you're playing poorly, but it's not like he's been on the field a ton.

He has started 4 games that I know of for sure. At Jacksonville, against Indy & the injury game at St. Louis in 2011 then at home against the Eagles last year. Besides the Rams game, he was very solid in the others.

Last night 870 interviewed Tyrunn Walker and he said he likes Kenney Chesney.

Just throwing that out there.

I think Will Smith should get a shot at LT. The more I think about it, the better it is for the entire team.
