Its around there. Even if he has been doing this for a few years he would be way better off not filing at all than filing a return without that income.

Not if he's a dependent. The number is $5950 in that case.

True. I was operating under the assumption he makes more than his parents.

Nothing will happen to him for doing this. They have to get someone to admit they paid him and I just don't think the people who buy and sell autographs will ever admit to this.

Didn't LSU lose a few players when they sold their tickets to the ncg, back when Saban was here?

So if they find him guilty of all this or whatever what will the NCAA do? Ineligible for the 2013 season?

Ya I didn't go back and read the specifics. He's good until October '14 then. I was not that serious about this in the first place. But the IRS is a powerful weapon.

If he doesn't have to report until Oct 14, how would anyone know if his return is from these alleged autograph signings or some endorsement he gets paid for the second after his last game at tamu

I think monetary compensation comes into play. Didn't AJ Green get 4 games for selling a jersey? The Tat5 got 5 games in 2011. $10,000 or more in compensation sounds like a season IMO.

If it happened last January he doesn't have to file or do anything until next April 15th.

Because they've never done this before in states like Ohio.

Steven Damien. He was the long snapper. He still got a championship ring though.

Am I missing something....it sounds like there isn't anything to this? He signed some stuff for free. Then his college drop out manager said he would do no more signing unless paid.

Was he actually paid? Or did it stop after the initial autographs that were provided.

The only reason that game was close is that we had a punt blocked on a low snap.
