It was not a rig removal. As we got closer, it looked brand new.

It was a Warsaw, not a jewfish.

Yeah for the last 50 feet maybe, but it was an intense battle for 25 minutes or more

Hatcher was so damn excited when we talked to him Saturday morning. He knew he had a new record but was holding out not wanting to give up his fish. He bartered with Marty and gave a up a small YF in lieu of the Warsaw. Kevin catches huge Grouper all the time and has they honey hole and method down to a science. He fishes off of a Twin Vee. Good guy and happy for him!!

Are you the one who gave up the Rod on a catch this trip?

If yes, one of our crew knows you or whoever it was..........

Absolutely not! That was my buddy though, and it was not the first time he did that with a yellowfin

Yes. Random question: are you the ST from the Tailchasers crew? I fished with DC several of the first years of that tourney and am pretty sure we have played poker a few times.

we ended up with 4 yf and 12 or so bf, but 3 of the yf weren't caught until morning light. How'd y'all do? If I remember correctly, y'all left before us. Not sure though

I was wondering if you guys were able to get around that problem. I brought a big one in a few years ago and guy wanted to know what he got for donating a 60# grouper. When I told him a plaque and his name in the paper, he said F that, leave it on ice.

they really should re-consider that policy for the elite offshore fish. They don't try to take people's big yellowfin

We had 6, lost 4 more. Did they turn on again after I left? My crew was toast anyway. I made 4 drifts and had 4 hook ups in a row when we got back to rig after the siesta.
