How can anyone doubt this. He has an old friend who is also an NFL calibre OC. Of course, Cameron is running the O. Les will probably make the final decision on 4th downs I'd imagine...that would be about it.

Les' hands are all over the offense the 6 days of practice before gameday, it doesn't matter if he is calling plays or not, the plays were called during the week and a few more ad lib'd in critical situations

Don't speak technically to people who think you can call the plays without a playsheet.

The rant's idea of Les on the sidelines:

Les: "Okay, let's go Green Right Slot Spider 3 Y Banana."

Cam: "Les, we don't have that play."

Les: "Ah well, I saw on ESPN Gruden said it was okay as long as we don't throw to the Venus. It's gonna work just run it anyway."

That's because it's true he doesn't call plays from the sideline. He has set up the game plan or didn't call the play but "suggested" we run 42 here or something like that. But technically speaking he doesn't call the plays from the side line.

Right. Nothing like you're boss "suggesting" stuff to you.

The packaging of plays and formations we run have changed some from OC to OC, but the concepts we run are almost exactly the same.

Sorry you don't understand football.

Yup, and you can even tell the rare occations when Miles is worried about play selection, he will be staring at a play sheet. But over his tenure at LSU, 90%+ of the time we are on offense, he is just concentrating on the huddle and the flow of the game on the field without so much as a glance at a play sheet.

Total bull. Jimbo was bubble screens and other route mismatches to create open WRs, with a very multiple running game including some zone blocking. (We've done none of that since.) Crowton was short routes, spreading the offense horizontally both with routes and with run selection. Last two years we were power running with vertical route running emphasis. Three TOTALLY different emphasis in both the passing game and running game.

The only sure thing you can count on, regarding Les, is that Timex will NOT ask him to be a spokesperson...
