VooDoo brand was Benson's child... and he did a good job of it... the AFL loved it and probably would tell Dan Newman to not give it up
so far... he's hitting a homer with the Pelicans brand too... w/ the uniforms the only thing left to see (aside from the play on the court)
if the Pelicans brand is a "bad paint job"... I'd still allow the painter to work on my house exterior

Mike & Mike is the worst. I dislike Cowherd, but I will give him props for having a backbone. .... M&M is so vanilla, and is garbage... Steve Czaban blows both away.

LOL, you sir haven't even kind of been paying attention. Benson will spend the money and let the team go over the cap (not the tax), but he won't pay $1 million for a team name? Good call.

Yeah, I was scared of the rebrand at first, but now I really like it. It's new and will take people time to accept it, but soon it will be better than the Thunder, Lakers and Jazz names. Those have just been around forever.

It's not an opinion. I was told this by a reliable source. Although it wasn't solely sale price but marketing and other issues, too (i.e. it's blasphemous).

Pelicans is legit. Did they really say there were better birds? We didn't just arbitrarily decide we were gonna be a bird and then pick our favorite one. It's about heritage you dumb fvcks.
I also agree with some who said Voodoo is a great AFL name but would've felt a little WNBA-esque for basketball.

VooDoo, Krewe, etc, were just too corny and even more locally specific and subject to possible ridicule than the Pelicans.
The Pelicans actually works pretty well for me, and that's not just rationalizing (even though I was pimping for the Brass). The Pelicans works, and everyone will come to love it except, perhaps, pimple dicks.
