Id rather them have to make a first down. Too many times one team gets stopped and the other team sits on the ball for a couple of downs and then kicks an easy fg for the win. It gives an big advantage to the team getting the ball second, and makes these things go into 7 OTs.

Agree that something should be done about the overtime system. As it is currently, it is not football.

Take sack yardage out of total yards.. Not rushing yards.

Agree with needing to tweak the overtime rules. I'd start it at midfield. Make teams work for their points.
Also don't allow a team to call a timeout a fraction of a second before a team kicks a field goal. That is an absurdity. Put some restrictions on that.
Also, no back-to-back timeouts, ever. This includes coming out of a TV timeout. It just slows the game down way too much.

I would change the OT rules.
They should change to more ike the NFL system, "Slow Death".
The current OT rules totally eliminate the kick return game. That's just wrong. You play one game for 60 monutes, and then for overtime you play another game. That's dumb. What if you have a star returner? All of a sudden he's taken out of the game for OT? That doesn't make sense.
Coin toss, winner picks to receive or kick.
Receiving team (team1) plays by same rules as regulation. If they score, TD or FG, opponent (team2) has an opportunity on offense. If no score, team2 gains possession (either on downs or by punt)
If team2 ties game, kick off. Team1 returns and given opportunity to score. If score, team2 receives kick...
Repeat as necessary.
This getting the ball at the 35 in total BS.

1) Eliminate OT and bring back ties - sometimes neither team is better and this is the proper result.
2) If offense is inside its own 20 and a penalty is called that would not give full yardage (only 1/2 distance to goal), the other team should have the option of either:
A) adding the total penalty yardage to "back end" to increase yard necessary for first down; or
B) take a down away.
