Threads like this will always go on as long as you have millions of misinformed gamers and sony fanbois.

I applaud stout for fighting the good fight but some won't and never will grasp it.

Something tells me you would be backing Stout even if he was arguing the opposite.

I don't always agree with stout but I do respec his opinions and insight. I think these threads too often turn into stout vs certain individuals.

Actually, now that you mention it, a podcast I recently listened to made the claim that Valkyria Chronicles is one of the PS3's top 5 games and after thinking about it, I'm pretty sure I agree. It's a Japansese strategy rpg with an art style that looks like it's hand-drawn and I can guarantee you've never played anything quite like it before. It's a combination of turn based and real time combat.

One I've been looking to pick up myself is Heavy Rain. It's one of those I planned on playing years ago but somehow missed it.

And to keep this semi on topic, I would recommend buying these both on Amazon, new.

I have been looking at heavy rain also and am awaiting my scruffy review. He picked it up recently and said he would review it for me.

Although I wouldn't consider it attacking (except for UH's posts), you know exactly what is going to happen.

UH is terrible. Everyone knows this and nobody takes him serious. He got shut down in this thread and bolted.

Oh, I know. And, overall, I agree with what you've said in here.

What's funny is that we'll all laugh about this time period 5 or so years from now the same way we laugh about going to a music store to buy the latest album releases.

Everything going digital is inevitable. It's just going to take a little longer than MS (and myself) hoped.

Well, I didn't necessarily mean we would all be laughing about it together but no worries. I've started your death clock just in case I'm still here to check if you post past July 23rd, 2018.

I can guarantee you that I'm the biggest Valkyria fan on this site. I absolutely love and adore it and it's my favorite game of this generation. I can't recommend it more to anyone.

The real-time combat happens whenever you select a character and it moves down into a TPS view. You move around and shoot when you want to. There may still be a demo up if you want a small taste.

No shite it helps sell by seeing them on the shelf. But stores aren't going to stop selling systems if companies give low priced digital downloads. Worst case scenario is they simply get moved to electronics areas more akin to what TVs and phones get.

If you don't give people a real incentive to download their games or make large amounts of space available for fair prices (bc frick needing a cloud to play shite I supposedly own) people are always going to prefer buying physical copies. As long as they do, used game sales will be around. The only way to kill them is to lower game prices for digital downloads AS THEY SHOULD b/c they no longer have the costs to put them in disk getting in the way.
