re: Incredible Son Surprises Dad With His Long-Lost Mustang

Not emotional at all, but my dad came across his buddies firebird that he used to cruise around in during HS. My brother ended up buying it, but when he moved down to SC, it basically became my parents.

that is a beautiful car. You don't seen nearly as many of the first generation Firebirds as you do of the first generation Camaros.

There is nothing incredible about pea soup green mustangs, especially that year fastback with the ugly arse back end.
Now had it been this color and year Mach 1 I could understand the excitement.

Man that car sounded mean. As he was revving it up on the road I was saying "LIGHT EM UP" in my head repeatedly.

My 1974 Buick Estate Wagon made into one of the "push, Pull or Drag your car in!" commercials with some democrats pushing it in front of the camera. Still had the fricked up rear quarter panel where I hammered a Gulf States Utility pole on Old Hammond Highway.

My kid ain't finding that one.

Come on dude. You know the bond between man and machine. It wasn't just A "pea soup green Mustang". It was HIS.

I wouldn't want my first vehicle back, but I did have some amazing memories in it. Obama took it for Cash for Clunkers.

My dad drove a red 442 with black racing stripes. If I found that car for him and bought it, I'd get the whole estate and my siblings would be left with nothing. Every time he sees a 442 he tears up.

I know the song is called "outfit"

But why should a person not call it an outfit?
Never understood this part of the song

This is just like when they drained the reservoir in King of the Hill and found Boomhauer's high school car, "Ms. Sally".
