Agree...which is a good reason for the discouragement. Because, it is clear that the leadership who is stoking the flames is obviously on the wrong side of logic and the law...yet they have been EXTREMELY successful at manipulating the black populace overall.

I think you have it exactly backwards.

The very large majority of those who are discussing the failures of blacks as a whole do not believe it is related to aptitude. It is a reflection of the adopted culture. In other words, it is implicitly chosen. If the value structure would change, so would the success rate.

let's start with how the majority of blacks dress. As a small business owner who hires plenty of $8/hr employees I can't even tell you how these idiots show up for job interviews. Granted I own convenience stores and Im not expecting a suit and tie, but it would be nice if they didn't wear their pants half off their arse and if they could talk like they've finished 8th grade.

Well that is easy to say when you already have a built in low expectation for the conclusion of what will happen if they "tried" to change.

Most don't try to change because its not cool to care about where they are going. Just live in the right now. frick school frick respect. It might be harder to grow up black but it's the culture and victim mentality that makes it that way

If you had not been I would have been a bit disappoiinted in you. Justice as seen through the eyes of rioters could only come to fruition if there was a guilty verditct and a very long sentence meted out by the judge.

So who's to blame in countries that are predominantly black and have been for ages and they still haven't progressed?

I'm not bothered. I haven't heard one person locally mention this trial, and think I only saw one thing on my facebook about it.

I just remember the people who post every thought that comes to their mind on facebook or twitter are the reasons I usually avoid those things, and avoid those kind of people. They are the minority, but unfortunately the most vocal.

I'm a bit disappointed in the media but I'd come to the realization that the media was biased a long time ago.

But should the people of America once become capable of that deep simulation towards one another, and towards foreign nations, which assumes the language of justice and moderation, while it is practising iniquity and extravagance, and displays in the most captivating manner the charming pictures of candour, frankness, and sincerity, while it is rioting in rapine and insolence, this country will be the most miserable habitation in the world.

Because we have no government, armed with power, capable of contending with human passions, unbridled by morality and religion.

Avarice, ambition, revenge and licentiousness would break the strongest cords of our Constitution, as a whale goes through a net.

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

John Adams was one smart, prophetic sumbitch.

I'm about 350 pages into David McCullough's biography of John Adams right now. Great man; great book.

Well when the "leaders" of their community (Obama, Holder, Sharpton, Jackson, etc. etc.)constantly complain about how bad they are
being treated and can only be successful if given handouts...what can you expect? Simply put...there is a large group of people who expect to be taken care of by others and all they have to do is vote Democrat period!

have yet to see a giant collection of poor to successful black people......well if you exclude musicians and athletes.

Then you are refusing to see them. Especially if you are from Baton Rouge

So until I see anything decent out of that population in terms of success, degrees,or any other accomplishment worth noting I will continue to have a bad view on poor african-americans. All I see right now is a group of whiners who complain that we haven't done enough for them

Once again you are seeing what you want to see. You are allowing Jessie, Al and the protesters on television blind you to normal people who QUIETLYgo to work and raise their families everyday

You have to be taught to care. Most people have to be taught a work ethic and responsibility. It is very hard to pull yourself out of poverty if you do not have the basic foundation of discipline and a work ethic.
