What if, despite all expectations, one of the walk-on kickers steps up and has a solid year like Alleman 2011? Do you bench a kicker with 80%+ accuracy to try out a scholarship kicker that may not be as good? Do you keep 2 kick-off specialists on scholarship for 2014 with a walk-on doing the kicking? Do you spend at least 1 scholarship on a kick-off specialist for 5 years running when it's totally unnecessary now that they kick off from the 35? Does this turn into a Dalton Botts situation where they cut ties with him once the kicking situation gains clarity? Was it really necessary to take his commitment so early in the cycle?
I fully expect none of these questions to be answered by anyone. Pardon me, I may be gone for a few days trying to find a life again.
