Getting 7 is going to be easy. 10 is still very possible. Actually looking better the last couple weeks.

Hey, this may be a meaningless bit of trivia to many of you, but as someone from Texas who has lived most of my life here (except for 2 years in LA), it does not seem like many football players from Flower Mound High get scholarships. Flower Mound Marques is the powerhouse school in that city & is usually highly ranked, producing most of the D-1 college football prospects.

I'm all for offering a kicker, but just not THIS year. There is way too much talent overflowing at all of the other positions. This must be a very special kicker if they are giving u a spot for him. He better be!

That is what I said earlier on some thread. Having said that, I AM for offering scholarships to punters and kickers which some are not in favor of. And it isn't like LSU is loaded with scholarship PKers...right now, Hairston is the only scholarship kicker on the roster and he is a JR. Once again, what we are talking about is him taking a scholarship that might have gone to say an Anthony Jones (TE) type of player. I'm pretty sure this wasn't Clifton Garrett's scholarship or Dupre's one. Good players don't get offered by LSU every year because of the 25 limit and sometimes even the 85 total limit trumps that yearly one.

Just saw the end of the '12 Auburn game at the gym and we rushed the FG unit on the field since we were out of timeouts and the coaches couldn't decide whether or not we wanted the 5 yard penalty and the FG was shanked right. Guess that one isn't 100% on DA....the hold didn't look 100% clean either, but Brad Wing was still settling himself at the snap with 2 seconds on the play clock.

We have a kicker who is going to be a Jr and is LSU's radar. I asked about Gamble today and he said "he's a fricking freakshow". Can both kickoff and kick field goals.
