You have a point. I mean I wouldn't stand in line with the tourists to eat there, but the Ferdi is a pretty decent sandwich. Oh, and, off the wall observation, they have great coffee (or at least they used to as I recall).

I never go when there's a line, but you'll be hard pressed to find a much better breakfast (debris biscuit
) or even lunch (the Ferdi, as you said, and also their popoys are pretty solid IMO) for the price.
Sure it's not cheap, but it's also two decent meals unless you're a fatass.

I wouldn't eat Mothers for free. It isn't underrated. It is awful. The Ferdi is a disgusting mess.

don't get me wrong, i don't think much of walkons. but it's a couple of blocks from my office, and i end up walking there for lunch, sitting at the bar and having a salad a couple of times a week. it's just easy. it's definitely not a place i'd make a point of going to eat in any other circumstance.
