re: Four-star quarterback Brandon Harris impressed by visit with Gus Malzahn

quote:

I think Harris sees LSU as the better team ready to compete for championships. We have all the tools he needs to show his skill. We have the OL the RB and the WRs/TEs in this class will be sick and u know he wants those guys to throw the ball to. Cam Cameron now the OC and a proven QB developer. All Auburn can boast is play calling in Malzhan offense. Which is big, but I believe our offense will change. It wants to change it needs to change but we need the guy under center to do it.

This

quote:

Harris has been positive towards every school he has visited. It makes for a tough read! However, the trip to Auburn is a long one and his dad wants to see him play. And he also loves Cam Cameron. I predict LSU will be his choice

And this.

Wow, I love this kind of posting. Forget that it is spun positively towards LSU. It is smart, straight forward, non-bashing dialogue that is a joy (and refreshing) to read. We need more of this on this board. This is how the majority of posts where a few years ago.

For the record, a guest/prospect visitor should say nice things about the host school whether they really mean everything or not. That part I respect. The part I do NOT respect is when a Landon Collins or many others say they haven't decided on their school when it comes out that obviously they knew where they were going for a solid year in advance.

Giving out little white lies to thank someone for hosting you and offering you in one thing.
Bald faced lying to attract more attention to yourself and keep locals off your back is something else.

Harris is an example of the first because obviously both LSU and Auburn can't be perfect like he seems to be claiming.
Landon Collins was a clear example of the 2nd.

Collins was pathetic. Worst recruiting battle we were ever involved in. The coaches were literally told he was coming to LSU right before he put on the bama hat.

That's Alabama though. You can tell the coaches asked him to do that to stick the knife as deep as can. You could tell Collins was uncomfortable doing it.

Let him go!!! Who cares? He is a pre-madonna that wants to be told he is the man!!! jeremy Johnson is the QB of the future at Auburn anyway. He will transfer from there once he sees the writing on the wall!!!
