Well Fear understood it as the opposite. So neither person gets screwed, we have 2 options.

1- Agree to the trade and let the standard wait period run its course
2- Decide not to do the trade

The problem with option 1 is I will lose the player I would have started instead

You may, you may not. No one knows if the trade will be processed in 3 calendar days (accepted thrusday/processed Sunday) or 3 full days (accepted thursday/processed Monday)

That is what it appears

ETA: You 2 can decide if you want to play Russian Fantasy Roulette and let the wait period decide your fate, or if you want to omit the trade

From an outsiders point of view, that seems like the most fair way of doing it.

No.

My intention was to play a starting RB in my flex this week.

Good, I wish more league members would comment. I want to get other opinions of the fairness

ya, i don't get this.

TTT has processed trades pretty quickly for the past two seasons...I would have assumed that I would get the player for that Sunday.

Retrospectively wanting Powell in there looks fishy (not saying that's MWG's intent)...He should have been inserted before kickoff

How is it fishy?

I don't want the trade to happen anymore since I lose two starting running backs that I could have started for this week.

you should have got clarification or inserted Powell...I don't understand assuming that the trade wouldn't go through as the only possibility...seems like that's the least likely outcome for this league

These damn Thursday games really screws up trading. That is why I sent out that league e-mail. Communication after trades is mandatory now or you will be relegated to the 3 day wait period.

quote:

From now going forward, every agreed upon trade must have some sort of communication in writing (thread or email to me) stating both party's intentions for when the trade should be processed. We ran into an issue tonight because of this.

Know that there is a standard 3 day process time for trades to go through. I am not sure if that is 3 days (accepted Thursday, processed Sunday) or 3 full days (accepted Thursday, processed Monday).

Every trade where no communication is made alerting me to your intentions will be defaulted to the standard 3 days. You will have to risk whether that is 3 calendar days or full days until we find out for sure. If you both intend for the trade to be processed prior to a Thursday game, and it affects roster spots (the person you traded leaves an open spot in your lineup in which you would insert someone playing in the Thursday night game), you must tell me who you want in your line prior to Thursday night kickoff.

Lets try to avoid another SNAFU that occurred tonight. These Thrusday night games really throw a wrench into trading. Rosters ARE NOT locked after games start on Thursday, only Sunday.

Because it was 7:30 and the trade hadnt processed.

Again, I'm taking the stance to nullify the deal. I don't see how you can call me fishy.

I lose TWO starting running backs in a 12-team league - I can't play them at all, if the trade is processed after kickoff of the Pats - Jets game.

I get what you're saying...I just wouldn't have assumed that I would have Richardson on Sunday when I just traded him. JMO.

You're not fishy...It just looks fishy from my attempt at an unbiased perspective.

I don't think its fishy or anything, but I do agree with Drake in the fact that I always push trades through rather quickly. What if I would have pushed the trade through tomorrow? You didn't say anything in here stating that 'If the trade isn't pushed through before kickoff, I intend to start Drich this weekend'. The whole time I was under the impression that this trade was executed with understanding that it would reflect weekend games.

That is the reason why I'm giving you guys the option to rescind the trade

Agreed. On the other hand, the communication was lacking so I think it's smart to put it on hold until next week. I have no rooting interest, just don't want anyone to get screwed over.

That is true, but why didn't you say anything about who you would want started if the trade was processed after the kickoff? I can't read your mind that you wanted Powell in...I was told that after half of a game was played.

I'd have the same argument.

You think I'd rather Daryl Richardson over Amendola for the ROS?

But, it totally fricks me over for the week.
