Highland is the hippie fest.
Perfect. I'm heading there Saturday between disc golf rounds.

May get some fake tattoos and black out a tooth or three.

Every time I'm in state I make sure I make a trip to The Chimes (Highland only). Always happy with the food...But I will admit, it has become a tradition and sometimes I let tradition blur reality so I may not be the best judge.

I've been told today that The Chimes will be moving away from the Around the World theme and ditching most of the European macro lagers on tap in favor of a, and I quote, "American Craft Beer Road Trip" theme.

This is a move in the right direction if you ask me.

That would be huge in getting me back in there more often.

where's your name at, Boo? I'm on the wall in between the bathrooms to the left of the entrance.

Me too.

Though I must admit that my wife beat me in the Around the World competition. I have no excuses for this other than the fact that I used to drink pretty much only Guinness and Murphy's there while she drank all the other Around the World stuff.

I'm over there... three times.

Then twice more* by the tables over on that side.

*these were a kickball team effort, did 60 in one sitting between all of us. So it's not MY name.

I have no clue what I even drank back then. I knew I did not like enough different beers to even try.

Yep.

And their New Orleans BBQ Shrimp sandwich is FIYA!

I've always liked Chimes...both locations. I don't have a 10+ year historical reference point like some others though.

Probably the same as what you drink now. Bud Light.

Some I'm sure. Bud Light might be 50% of what I drink. Almost never drink it in a bar or restaurant.

Chimes has the best onion rings and I always get them as an app.. I'm usually too beer'd up to remember anything special about an entree from Chimes.

Never thought of the crowd as anything other than a typical college crowd.. Professors, alumni, parents, college kids.. beer hounds. Always liked the atmosphere and the patrons.

Great news, especially since ABInBev owns most of Euro beers that used to be their staple now
