Baton Rouge Police say a cell phone video shows LSU running back Jeremy Hill punching a man from behind. Then he allegedly celebrated with high fives when another suspect knocked the victim out.

Ok. I'll admit that I thought it was going to be worse than what it is.

He will likely get some added probation (like a year) some community service and court fees... nothing else to see.. He will be in uniform by at least the Kent St game...

Really the only remaining concern is missed practice time. His arraignment is on Friday, which is only a formal recitation of the charge and Hill's entry of not guilty in response. Then his trial date will be in August (assuming it won't be re-assigned to a later date with the charge now coming out). Unless something is worked out prior to the trial date, he'll remain "indef suspended" from the team until the matter is formally resolved. Hopefully this can be resolved prior to the trial date so Hill can be on the field for fall practice.

very slim chance this goes to trial. he'll likely plead guilty after his lawyer and state agree to some sort of plea agreement. it would actually be ignorant for him to go to trial based on what's out there.

Im sure his Lawyer or public defender will likely tell him to enter a plea agreement which will let him walk with what I said earlier, More probation, court fees and some community service.

I hate this. After JJ 2 years ago, and now Hill I think it's time Miles make an example of someone. Hill needs to be that guy. You want to go and do stupid shite like this, you don't deserve to play for us.

Without JJ back on the team in 2011, the offense doesn't sputter against W.Kentucky, Arky, and Georgia (no telling what would've happened against Bama on Jan.9) and there would've been less team drama.

Almost the same scenario. Hill needs to go. regardless of what he did for this team last season.

Just sayn'

doing a plea bargain isnt saying your are guilty or not guilty though. Its just a bargain you make to avoid trial.
