Zane played Biff's sidekick croney in Back to the Future 2 in the casino scene too.

I'm surprised no one has said Val Kilner in The Doors. He should've won the Oscar. He was excellent as Jim Morrison.

Ben Foster in 3:10 To Yuma. Only reason I say this is because we met (and hung out with) him a while back by happenstance through some mutual friends. He is a quirky dude...I was astonished to see the character he jumped into for his role in that movie.

I may be alone in this but I think Zachary Quinto does an excellent job as Spock in the new films.
Also did Tim Robbins get nominated for Shawshank?

Best acted average movie ever is Murder by Numbers. Michael Pitt and particularly Ryan Gosling were incredible.

Biff is one of my favorite characters ever. "Butthead"
As for my choice:
Robert Shaw as Quint in Jaws.
Indianapolis speech
Word is he drank a fifth of whiskey, sat down and gave the lines, then his head went THUD on the table, passed out drunk
