Did my mash readings. Adjusted for temp and it says 94% efficiency. I know that's not right, but every single brew tells me the same high efficiencies. It's typically around 88-94%. Not really worried about it, but i'd like to know why it reads at 95%. My pre-boil gravity is 1.072

and i think i need to invest in fermcaps. Got maybe 1.5 gallons of space left in my brewpot.
Fermcaps are a must for those of us who don't have keggles to brew in.
I may have half a gallon of space left in my brewpot. Probably less.

Accidentally brewed 6 gallons. I did readjust my volume quantities on all my gear to be more accurate. Looks like I need to tune down my recipe volume a little now.
1.076 OG. Total brew house efficiency of 81.3% which is what I estimated. Should end up aroun 7.5% abv.
Finished right at 5 hours, now time to cleanup

Ditto. Mashed in at noon, hopped in the shower at 5:00. Did a shite ton of whirlpool hops, so a bit less than 5 gallons went into the fermentor. Probably only end up with 4 gallons of beer.

Lousy weather man. They told me it was going to be a washout today, so I made other plans. Could have got a brew in. Cheers to y'all that did.

I felt like I was robbing a dude today. Felt by for him, didn't seem like he wanted to sell his system at all but circumstances forced him. But whatever, I have a new brew system. It barely fits in the car but it fits, which is all that matters. Can't wait to brew next weekend

Yep. Odd situation but not your problem. Post pics when you can.

Second time using wlp004 Irish ale yeast and 2nd time I've had an extreme blowoff. This yeast is some serious shite.

That's a fricking mess. Fermcaps or bucket time.

Damn Bug. That's a hell of a mess. Luckily it's contained and not on your floor.

Yeah, it's a good problem though. That yeast is the only one that does that though.
It sounds like a typewriter in there with all the fermentation happening.

I am starting to plan for the brew day on Saturday. What should be the inaugural beer brewed on the new system? Taking into account that the brew day will probably be a disaster. The system is almost setup at the house. Once I get it finished this evening I will take some pictures.
