Danny Granger's future
Posted by GeauxTGRZ on 6/26/13 at 9:39 pm00
He is owed $14 million next year. Some say to keep him at the 3 so George can move back to the 2 and have another go at it with the Heat. Some say to trade him now. GMs still covet him..
As a Pacers fan, I say keep him unless you get Bledsoe by some miracle..

Granger's final year as well
Exactly why I'd take my chances and go at the Heat with a healthy roster.
DWade isn't getting any younger, and the Pacers already showed they can bully Bosh with West and Hibbert.

i say move him and get an elite ball handler. the team proved they are fine without him, add a piece that can put you over the top against MIA, and resign west.

Keep him....had he been healthy the Pacers would have won in 6, maybe even 5

Some have hinted at a Granger (NOLA native) for Eric Gordon (Indy native) deal. Works with salaries and needs though Pacers would need to throw in their first rounder (#23) to give it more credence.
The thing with trades is that both sides have to have a desire to do the deal.
I'm leaning towards keeping him and west because of granger's defense on lebron.
Paul probably does a better job defending lebron but with George guarding the shooter on the 3 point line, I like it better...
Either with Bledsoe, Gordon, or Mayo, the Pacers need a scoring 2 guard.

Bird coming back means Granger stays

I think Bird coming back means he doesn't want someone else getting credit for a championship team that he built. He'll move Granger if that makes them better. If they were willing to be a tax team when they have to pay Paul George, they could make a pretty good sales pitch to Iggy with the cap space freed up by dumping Granger. That would make them a legit contender.
