Not true. The government offers this thing called loans and student loans. I know you have never heard of this because you are to pathetic to take the first step to stop wasting tax payer dollars. Go to any financial-aid office at any college and they will get you a loan.

In your system salary means nothing and we are nothing more than slaves.
We can choose what department to work in. Everyone will have access to goods that, in America, would only be accessible through pieces of paper.

You have very little understanding of economics or human nature.

I just want everyone to have access to goods and services, no matter how much money they have.

It is a ridiculous added hardship to life.

Then you should be a capitalist.

Why? Like I said, economic calculation is not science. If the government can go to the moon, the government can effectively gauge what people want. The department responsible for making cars, for example, will be either upgraded or downsized, depending on how many cars are bought.

No, it can't.

The department responsible for dairy products, for example, could upgrade or downsize depending on how many milk cartons are bought.

Serious question:

How old are you?

You say gov workers get a higher salary in your ideal utopia, what's the point of getting a higher salary if we can all get the same stuff?

Also, why would someone work hard to study to be a doctor when they could make the same amount being a garbage man?

The only way your ideal world may work is if everything was made, and every profession was occupied by robots. Every. Single. Thing.

My ideal utopia would never work because we as humans are convinced that the government is bad and that private businesses are good, no matter what. I reject the economic calculation problem that mises put forward.

Again, you are wrong. There are many people that love the gov doing everything for them, and plenty of gov officials that love telling you what to do. Communist/ socialist/ fascist gov's are the proof.

You're problem is that it does not work. There is no utopia, human nature doesn't allow it. We crave power. We are greedy bastards, and its totally natural.

I guess you reject von Mises' argument because you haven't read it, as it deals with your question.

You are either a troll (considering your somewhat typical conservative opinions in other threads), or a delusional pinko who is having a coming out thread (with previous conservative attitudes being a ruse).

Then why won't you answer these philosophical questions?

Again, are you advocating slavery.

If I labor to produce a product, why should you be entitled to it for free?

Why should the government decide what my labor is worth?

if I overvalue my labor, nobody will buy my product and I can freely choose to starve or lower my asking price.

If the state decides what I get and provides everything for me and everyone else, why should I work at all?
