The question is, How do you define best team? vs. How do you define champion?
And this can be applied to conference tournaments/regionals/supers.
Does the best team in the conference win it's tournament championship?
Does the best team in a regional always in it?
Does the best team in a super regional always win it?
Does the best team at the CWS always win it?

I would say LSU wins 7 or 8 times.
this stadium gives an advantage of UCLA and we didn't execute so they beat us.
If LSU hitters perform like they did in the two CWS games, no way.
Some fans are just afraid to admit the middle of the lineup didn't show up. LSU's problem is that it relied too heavily on these guys and they left too many men on base.
Tigers had their chances and couldn't do it. Very good team, not a great team. UCLA plays smart and takes advantage of their limited personnel.
LSU is a much more talented team, I am sure of that. In baseball, that isn't always good enough.

you know if LSU had played UCLA in certain ball parks, we would have won due to some of those outs resulting in homeruns. Also, your logic is flawed. If by simply winning the games is all that matters we took 2/3 from State so were better than them even if they win it all right?
Chmpionships dont always go to the best/most talented team. They often times go to the hottest one, but hey, thats sports. Just because two teams make it to the championship doesnt mean theyre the best two teams, end of argument.

I think we are better than the two teams playing tonight. I don't know if we are better than Vandy or UNC. I would have liked a 3 game series with them.

What player doesn't have that attitude? What fan base isn't biased? UNC may be saying it. Vanderbilt people may even say it. You can put "if" on the end of anything if it suits your perspective.
