The problem with these arguments is that individual investors make up a tiny percentage of trading volume. You, nor I, know what the people who really move the market are thinking.

This is very true. Day trading is NOT for the weak mined. I have lost big bucks at times that would make most people puke there guts up.
Using charts, volume and direction of the market does help somewhat, but it is also like putting everything on RED.
