That's heart in the throat type stuff there, wow how could you not follow that guy. I felt like we were about to siege the gates of Cyprus

That's the kind of leadership that people will follow to their deaths. He would've been a great general. We'll need that leadership now that Henderson is out and potentially Studge. The next few games just got incredibly harder.

Honestly I'm far more concerned about Studge being out than Hendo... I feel like Allen/Lucas can fill in for him.

Henderson is arguably our most important player outside of SaS. Without his pressing Chelsea's MF will run us over. The entire system depends on his work rate and energy, of which I can only pray that Allen can replicate. Allen works his socks off but he isn't the true box to box MF that Henderson is.

Is it for sure 3 games for Henderson?

Violent conduct is 3 games. I'm pretty positive they'll charge him with that and it'll be 3.

When do they usually take care of that? I hate the not knowing thing... I just want to know so we can move on.

Just finished watching it a second time. A few thoughts:

Jordan motherfricking Henderson take a bow son. What a player. He was absolutely everywhere.

Luis Suarez. What in the mother frick possibly goes through that idiot's head sometimes? I mean what in the frick frick. How fricking dumb can he possibly be. The size of the match clearly got to him because #1 he played poorly and #2 he reverted back to his 2011 self. That shite is fricking embarrassing, especially considering how well he has behaved this entire season.

Mignolet

Sterling. fricking class.

Gerrard. motm motm motm. Take a fricking bow. What a leader. What a player. No words for him.

Skrtel fly to Korea so I can make out with your ugly fricking skull plz

Sterling's cross to Sturridge around the 15th minute was superb.

yeah... Sturridge's finishing his been off the past couple weeks... not sure if its the pressure or what...

we really need to sign another a quality striker for next season, a player with little to no drop off with DS... I don't think his body can hold up to all the extra games...

Aspas is as good as gone and Borini is not of that quality, though I def think he has a place given the depth we'll need..

He's still young and will be needed for Cup games and bottom of the table EPL games to give SAS a break.

I dont disagree, thats why I mentioned he'll be needed for depth...

I'd just like to see one that can play at the level of Sturridge (maybe not Suarez) and compete with them.. preferably someone comfortable out wide, as well...

edit: I'd love us go after Chicharito... never happen..

Really wanted Stevie to go over to Luis and just punch him in the face. Idiot could have cost us the game if he had gotten sent off for diving.

Still on a high from yesterday. This has just been such a fun season. Its great to have some of that extra "this means something" emotion in some of these games.

So...no Hendo for:

at Nor

Chelsea

at Palace

I think I start with Allen for Norwich and see how he does. I also tell him - give it your all for 50-60 minutes and if need be, we'll sub you out.

Depending upon how he looks in the role, I think I'd likely go Lucas for Chelsea and tell him the same thing.

Either way, I want them to bust arse for an hour and then be able to bring the other on for them.

Let's say no Sturridge this weekend... Anyone else think we may run a 4-2-3-1 again?

Johnson-Sakho-Skrtel-Flanagan
Gerrard-Lucas
Coutinho-Sterling-Allen
Suarez

I think it'd be pretty effective if we are missing part of SAS
