He didn't stay there long. Swapped with Spearing after a few minutes

Just curious, is anyone happy with Downing still being on the team?

I dont mind him as a squad player, but if we can get a decent fee for him, I wouldnt mind selling...

It would allow Sterling and Ibe to get more PT

Also, I imagine with Agger starting match as captain... pretty much makes him a shoe in for vice captain..

Aspas + Sterling

BTW, are we taking bets on how tall Sterling's mohawk gets?

I can't tell if that was a great shot, or just an embarrassing moment by the keeper.

Bad by the keeper, but good elevation, and combined with the Suarez like meg just before, was pretty impressive.

Fun match overall. A couple experimental squads. What position does Alberto play again?

I thought Kolo and Sterling were brilliant. Aspas looked comfortable as well. Alberto showed some nice signs. Coutinho was lively as always, but didn't look 100% up to speed.

Borini struggled, as did Assaidi and Spearing. The latter 2 need to gtfo. So does Pacheco. He will never be good enough.
