No one wants to rehash the CWS, myself included, but re: UCLA v. LSU

LSU scored 3 total runs which qualifies as one of the lowest totals in Omaha history. LSU as we know went 2-and-BBQ. UCLA, however, has scored a mere 4 total runs - but is 2-0 and in the catbird seat. All the while batting a pathetic .165 as a team.

Two incredibly costly errors were the difference in us being most likely 2-0 at least 1-1 right now.

That is pretty amazing. It is a legitimate, championship style of baseball strategy to now play to opponent's mistakes.
Don't make mistakes (not even one), of course.
I just hate that it's a legitimate strategy. I almost hope UCLA wins the thing just to prove a point.
1)Walk.
2)Bunt.

1. You take the anger and disappointment out, it is kind of amazing. Baseball in general is that way. Hell, look at MLB, 162 effin games then what's now a 1 game playoff.
2. Removing LSU and bias, the park and situation are not good for the sport. I could go out there throwing meatballs and probably due well having not pitched from a mound in over 10 years.

The park rewards nothing but hurts teams making mistakes. You can't change the game with one swing. Hell you ant even gap balls. I would love to know how many actual extra base hits there have been. It can't be many. It limits the game to bing who can screw up the least.
