i don't know about that. i think it's been our undoing (and nearly undoing) in a few matches that we've conceded scoring anymore and just sat deep with extra defenders and conceded. not sure jenks helps any on that goal. i don't get why we never bring off say rosicky for gnabry or something like that. gnabry still puts in a shift defensively and is a fresh counter option. even gnabry for giroud would have worked with poldi shifting up top. the straight striker swap was a little odd, but we were plenty defensive at the end and still failed to keep the ball out of the net.

that will crush me emotionally. just pay the fricking man, arsene.

I will cry if that happens. Is Zabaleta going to Real Madrid or something? I'm now distraught.

even worse, this "leaks" going into the City match. some Bayern-BVB mind game shite going on there.

i don't get it. way cheaper to pay him a ridiculous sum for 3 years than it would be to purchase a top level replacement.

Arsenal will play a friendly against New York Red Bulls in New Jersey on July 25th as part of their pre-season preparations.

I was excited when I saw they said they are coming to the US, but it's only to play the Red Bulls. It's also 2 weeks after the World Cup so I doubt there's many first team players going at all. Still glad they're reaching out to their American fans, first time coming to America since 1989.

Any of yous know much of Josip Drmic?

Looks like a guy we could use as a CF. 15 goals in 26 for Nurnberg, 21 years old, Swiss international, apparently we're eyeing him for a summer move.

Yeah if somehow Arsenal get the win today that Swansea result is going to be even more frustrating. I'm trying to stay somewhat positive, although I just don't know if they can outscore City.

Yeah...Arsenal need an upgrade.

sky in germany are saying we are getting him. the old "his wife has been looking for places to live in London" deal.

i'd prefer mandzukic, but oh well.

God damn Cazorla played like a little wizard today. He was fricking brilliant.

This game shows how badly we needed Ramsey.

yep. on one hand, i'm quite happy we went toe-to-toe with City, but our recent frick ups kinda made 3pts pretty close to a necessity. pretty hairy still.

thought cazorla and gibbs were our standout performers. poldi had a great assist and should have scored too. still kinda think he is better as a impact sub, but no denying he's our most direct attacker. kinda need that at this point.

rambo would have been massive in this match. with all due respect to the goal scorer, rambo having that space to run into would have been very nice.

3 points would've been nice after some of the recent results but I'll take the draw all day. Looks like Ramsey is finally close to returning so let's hope Arsenal can make a nice run and finish 3rd.

He was the best player on the pitch. I was surprised how silent Toure was for City.

There were a few moments, where his pace and physicality would have made a difference. Over all I am pleased with the result. Sagna was great as well.

City isn't winning it. The just switch off. They could have put us away in the first, instead they are lucky to get away with a point. We shouldn't be able to go toe to toe with them. Damn I wish flamini was in toures body, that's what we are missing. Still frustrating because a few gutsy performances like that and wed prob still be winning the league. We were in first for 128 days. City a mere 8.

Cazorla was great in the second, not so much in the first. Gibbs as turned his game up since the sending off. Vermalarn was great as well. We need a CBS of that quality for cover, but he's not going to stay to ride the bench. Sagna was great, crosses were on the money, rosicky at 33 is the damn entergizer bunny. Was truly a great game and the team really showed they still have it.

Just did a lil research. Giroud has started more games than any striker in the top 4. Also every club ahead of us has more players with double digit starts than arsenal. Just think, these clubs are getting 20-30 more starts out of players. We have to fricking spend money, and spend it on players worth a damn. And these stats were only for the BPL.

Anyone know where to find highlights of Santi in this game, or extended highlights (not just goals)?
