I guess this "We" you're talking about means all of NCAA baseball? I'm sure Oregon St. Wanted their home run against Miss St.

I ain't whining but I'd love to have had Ibarra's hits against UCLA.

I agree with playing the hand you're dealt. But, I also agree that pitchers should have to pay for bad pitches. These bats and this field nulifiy the risk a pitcher faces.

Exactly. The Gray-Nola matchup would have still resulted in a 5-3 game. The aces would shut down the teams for the most part, but horse shite pitches like what Plutko was throwing the other night would get skull fricked.
+1.

Nothing wrong with whining as a fan. His point was stupid. I don't know what he means by adapting as fans. Unless he means that we're supposed to change our opinion on what fun baseball is

Exactly. Baseball with almost zero threat of the long ball is not baseball.

Oh, look - another pop out.

I watch or listen to 95% of lsu baseball games since the late 80,s....and love following lsu baseball , but if I had to watch the tigers adapt to the ucla way of playing ball then I'm out ......no way I could sit through a season of watching that shite....

ESPN holds all the cards. They'll move the wall in next season.

Definitely don't make a mistake down in the zone where the other team may hit a ground ball. There's a chance that leads to an error.

So MLB scouts couldn't tell if the college hitters were good, or if it's the bats. How are they going to scout Bregman next year when they come to see him and he goes 0-1with a walk and two sacrifice bunts?

I think I saw someone say earlier that there has never been a 9th inning comeback at TD Ameritrade. Let's see if Indiana can be the first

Big field, dead bats, low scores and a premium on pitching.

All that goes to show, Arkansas really fricked up by losing last year. Couldn't even win when the cards were stacked in their favor.

These people saying we need to adapt dont know much about sports....... Why would any association play their championships on a field that is different from every field they play on during the regular season??

This style of baseball is called softball.

For anyone saying "adapt", yeah, lets recruit the softball team or a bunch of 5'6" dudes to drag bunt regardless of baseball talent.

When a pitcher can leave a hanging curve to you best power hitter that smacks it squarely and the home run to fly out potential is 20/80, something is wrong.
