The blackberries on the land I hunt are finally getting to the point it is worthwhile to pick them and I want to make a cobbler.
What ya got?

I made a blueberry cobbler this weekend with 4 pints blueberries and 1/2 cup sugar and a pinch of salt in a 9x13 pan. Top with the rolled up pie crusts in the refrigerator section of the grocery store, and brush with melted butter. You may need a little flour mixed with the sugar to thicken up the syrup that the berries make. The blueberries made ALOT of syrup.
There are definitely more complex cobbler recipes out there, but this one is easy and it's very good.

Corn starck slurry or arrowroot slurry is a muy better thing for that purpose. Supposedly my mothers recipes could not be found on her computer when she died, and the ones on index cards I think have never entered the brain of my sister in the house to share with any one else. The pastry part of the cobbler was a sweet fluffy thing that sat atop the liquid.

I posted a thread about it a few weeks or so ago. Had a great one. Google Lee Bailey's blackberry cobbler recipe. Delicious. I've had it twice made by two different cooks. Excellent.
