Wow, I underestimated it on NSD. We have so much talent in that class, but it's overlooked cause of the year we're expected to have in 2014. Still there is so much bulk in that class. We got highly-rated players at every needed position. I can't wait to see these new freshmen take the field and show off their talent

I don't think anyone was overlooking it last year. What the Sophomore's are able to do this year will have an incredible impact on the team as a whole. That being said I'm incredibly excited for this year's Freshman as well. Every class is special here at LSU.

Agreed. 2013 class is very deep. Should produce several solid contributors.

I want to see Brazil in situational punt returns. Like receiving punts around midfield. I'm expecting

what the hell difference does it make where he feels the punt? Are you not excited to see him field a punt on our own 20 yard line?

Maybe next year. Beckham did really well returning punts and this is most likely his last year. Brazil on kickoffs could be deadly though

I agree. we should be able to replace katz, rhymes, jones, and ross with the talent we have coming back and coming in

You don't put a freshman with sky high potential fielding punt near your end zone. That's what we have more experienced guys for like OBJ. Give Brazil the opportunity to receive punts between the forties, hope the punt team out kicks their coverage and let Brazil do work.

Anyway that's how I would initially approach using Brazil. However if he proved otherwise in practice let him move into the full time punt returner.

You would be hard pressed to find a SEC school bringing in a better class on the defensive side of the ball.

Some might individualy have a better DL, LB or DB class but, overall I think LSU's is the best. Gators could make a case though.

If he can return punts at the 50, he can return punts with his heels on the 10 yd line. As a coach, you only put a guy out there you have full confidence in.

Its not like a coach says, "meh, its no big deal if he muffs one at the 50".

Yeah we've got some difference makers coming in for the receiving game (Leslie, Smith, Diarse, Peterson), a QB who may turn out to be pretty special (Jennings), a damn good class on both of the lines, a difference makers on D like Beckwith and White.

Helluva class.

We used situational returners with Holliday/Jared Mitchell. We didn't really trust Holliday to field a punt on the 10 (with good reason). However, with a little more space we wanted him out there because he's a threat to score every time from there.

I get what the guy is saying. You don't want to destroy a freshman's confidence by having him muff a couple and give up scores.

Anyways, it is kind of a weird thought anyways. I want to see Brazil at RB.
