I was not going to spend the ridiculous amount of $ on following JJ anyway (2011 season and NC game)... glad I chose wisely!

This isn't about JJ douchebag. What about the baseball team? They had 2 chances to frick up and capitalized.

An emphatic yes!!!

It's a gamble, but this was $900 that I could have spent elsewhere.

So why did you spend it with no guarantee? That doesn't say much for your mental abilities does it?

The trip was well worth it even if we lost. I could die tomorrow for all I know and the experience was something I will never forget. Who knows LSU might not go back for 30 years, least I can scratch going to the CWS off my bucket list. Accept defeat and move on, least I was there to experience it.

Going and losing >> not going at all. Everytime

I'm not rich, I can't afford to shell out money for big trips on a whim. If I make that trip, I would not enjoy watching a Tiger butt-kicking.

Then, don't take the risk. Easy answer. It's good that you didn't go for a variety of reasons. I wish I could have gone win or lose. The experience would be terrific. I would enjoy being in Omaha with or without tickets.

That's what I was saying, I was so confident in our guys that I was willing to overspend on a trip that I couldn't afford.

You know what I did with my BCS Title game money, I took the family snow skiing for Christmas. We spent a 5 days snow skiing instead of 1 miserable night in the Superdone.

Did you not read the part where I said it was a gamble?

Also, if it were a guarantee, that wouldn't much fun either.

Read more slowly if that helps you.

I would have loved to have gone PERIOD no matter the result and would never think it to be money wasted

Great season....Not so good end.....We have classy kids & coaches that wear Purple & Gold!!!! Yes, the Tigers lost and didn't look good doing so......I have to believe they all feel x1,000,000 worse than we do!

This. Watching my Tigers is never a waste of time or money for me, win or lose. I may not like the outcome one single bit and it may sting like crazy, but it's never a waste of money.

And, family comes first with me, anyway, so I can't compare spending money on family to a BCS game. If the choice was taking my family on a trip, the BCS game would never have come into play. It's not a fair comparison at all, unless you rate family second to going to a game.
