I generally will go with Dollar and choose the lock low and go special. Last time in Vegas they gave me a Jeep for the price of an economy car. I think it was 19 a day when I booked. I will generally book and check the rates once a week until the trip as it often falls.

Just so you know, besides the Hoover Dam there is absolutely nothing outside of Vegas and the strip is pretty short. Not much to see in North Vegas so it may not be worth renting a car to drive around.

I always rent a car in Vegas. Parking is free in all the Casinos and you dont have to wait in a taxi line or wait on a shuttle to get to the airport.

It's hot as fricking furnace there right now too. I drove through last week and spent the night. Went and hit up Hot and Juicy on Spring Mountain road for my boiled crawfish fix. Their crawfish aren't bad.

October. Probably looking to rent on 10/8, which is a Tuesday.

Good to know. I didn't plan on driving around the strip. Just figured we'd rent a car to drive out to the dam and then come back and return it.

If there is a Dollar at NYNY, that will be perfect since we're at the MGM and that's just across the street.

Yea that will be 50 a day right now but that price will drop a lot by then. Probably into the 20-25 range. For Vegas Lock Low and Go is a great deal as they will let you generally choose from a couple of SUVs or at worse a minivan. Vehicles that generally rent for a lot more that they dont rent a lot of.

If I rented a car in Vegas for 1 day I would go to the Dam possibly consider driving to the GC. I would def try and go to Fremont as well.

You should book a reservation and just check the prices every now and then. Cancel the higher price and then rebook the lower price until you have the best price.
