Did McEnroe just call John Isner a pussy?

Hypothetically randomly posed question: who is the biggest choker on the ATP tour?

Emphatically stated answer that should have required no more than 0.0003 seconds thought time: Nicolas Almagro.

Dude is so good at tennis. He's under six feet tall, clay is his best surface, and yet he leads the tour in aces. I mean, that's a very telling stat.

But what's also quite telling is the number of shite stains in his drawers. Hopefully he has a special provision in his Reebok conract for extra drawers. Because who wants to throw shite-stained drawers in the wash with all your other clothes?

I think his exact words were "dewy vagina".*

*I'm actually not watching. But I'd love to hear Johnny Mac call somebody a Dewy Vagina.

He basically said John was a wimp for not trying to play through the knee injury. Basically said he gave up.

Isner retires with a left knee injury and Darcis is tweeting that he can't play because of arm issues. Sigh

Darcis just peaked for life. I can't blame him for not wanting to begin the downward slope.

I actually don't think that's fair. Isner isn't really a vag at all (See 70-68).

I don't think anyone agreed with him.

You skated on a Cilic withdrawal. This sucks, man, he had a great chance to do damage.

Love the use of quotes. I still cannot begin to comprehend how you are continuing to argue with the assertion that Rafa's 2012 Wimbledon loss was "blamed on injuries." One of us apparently has a counting problem and neither will admit it so let's move on.

quote:

Do you think it's bullshite when a guy says he lost because his opponent got lucky? Because I can name a guy that's gone down that road before. You may have even heard of him.

Yes, I do think it's bullshite. When Fed does it, I am just as disgusted as when Rafa does. Be a fricking man, admit it wasn't your day and move on. I know it's human to try and rationalize poor performance (or defeat in spite of strong performance) but some of the top tennis players take excuse making to a whole new level.

Separately, out of curiosity, did you bet on a tourney winner or just on individual matches (apologies if you stated this earlier)? I put money on Murray (in part based on your analysis -- I give credit where credit is due) at +375 to win the whole thing and am liking the way his draw is shaking out.

Wozniaki is turrible now. Her and Rory need to break up before they destroy both their careers...

Holy frick, Tsonga quit. Darcis, Cilic, Azarenka, Shvedova with complete withdrawals, Isner quit early, Stepanek quit after two sets, and Tsonga quit down two sets to one.

Might as well give Serena the trophy now and not wait until next weekend.

Not yet. There is a lot of slick grass out there. At this rate, there wont be any players left for week 2

It's ok Masha, I know you won't get invited to any parties after this loss, but you can always come party with me.

I'm pretty sure I saw that Sharapova was on Court 2. Isn't it Court 2 at Wimbledon where so many upsets happen, or am I just making this up?

I'm happy about what is happening in the women's draw.

My girl Monica moves on, she was the the quarter of Masha. I can't stand the top women, they are all royal bitches.

Go Sloan Stephens, or Monica Puig in that half. I hope someone takes out Serena I can't stand her.

Roger wins first set tie break
