What is worse- radio airtime or being played at shitty bars? I actually went to Reggie's during LSU graduation weekend and they played it there.

at least at the bar a slut might dance to it. I also heard it on some commercial, this is gonna be one of those songs that they wear the frick out.

Album is more suited for house parties IMO. Except Lose Yourself to Dance.

Sounds like a Maroon 5 "b" side.

You have to be kidding me. Not only does Pharrell sound totally different (better), but so does the music.

RAM is easily album of the year. Innovative, of the absolute highest production quality, incredibly wide in scope, and still all Daft Punk. The only thing they've done so far that can compete with Discovery.

I listened to it 30 times front to back on stream before it even released. Get at me.

Yeah, Contact is really adult contemporary. Nice try, TrollHog.

Check something for me. Take your hands and put them on the side of your head. Please tell me it's just smooth and there's nothing there, because you're obviously missing ears.

Besides, why all this focus on Contact? It's probably my least favorite song of the bunch, definitely a glorified outtro for the album if anything. Instant Crush? Giorgio? Doing It Right? Fragments of Time? Within? That's the real substance there, and any of those seems more representative of the album's pathos than Contact of all things.

And no, I'm a college student.

Contact is cool, but its nothing that the postal service or a million other little electric bands have done.

lol ok. Looking past your apparent missing of an "n't", we obviously have someone here who just doesn't get it. If you just don't like EDM or anything in the wider genre (very strongly evidenced in saying "other little electronic bands) why are you even here?

You evidently have no appreciation for the music, which is totally fine. To each his own, but remember that works two ways. We are very obviously much more invested in/knowledgeable/passionate about this type of music than you, so leave us to it. I hate country music by and large with gusto, but you won't see me in country album threads bashing. Please, the door is that little x at the top of your screen. Use it.

Started it, but still said it was "gay"...yeah gaining major maturity points on that one.

Besides, your reputation as a troll precedes you. For all I know you started it based on the one song ("gay" as it is) just so you could troll about the rest of the album...troll level over 9000.

I salute your dastardly plan

no, i'm to lazy for that, i do like that song, but you have to admit it's a little limp in the wrist (if you know what i a mean.) it's good electronica it's just really safe commercial type music, a la moby, doesn't mean i think it's bad its just not my cup of tea. i wouldn't blast it at a football game tailgate .

I think that's what it was aiming for. It's a summer anthem and that's exactly what they wanted. Songs like that and Lose Yourself to Dance are dance songs...don't try to read too much into them. That's just them returning to their roots of making excellent jamming music. For every Dan Brown novel there's a Dostoevsky, for every One More Time a Digital Love, and for every Get Lucky an Instant Crush. Don't confuse the purposes of each or you're just setting yourself up for disappointment
