What's worse. A turnover in football? Or an error in baseball?

I know it's extremely relative and subjective....but generally speaking, what's worse? You can score off both, which is more likely?

dumb question IMO
It depends when the error occurs. An error to start off an inning is not the same as an error with the bases loaded, or like AB's error.
With that said, turnover in football is more costly. There are limited possessions in football.

I know it's a dumb arse question. But thanks for your opinion anyway. Good stuff.

In an NFL game, a bad team is likely to give up slightly less than 3 TO's per game. In MLB, a bad team will make less than 1 error per game.
I believe turnovers in football directly lead to more scores, but I have no stats to back this up.

After thinking about it, I came to this
An error is more costly in low scoring games, a turnover is more costly in high scoring games

It seems turnovers in football would be more costly at first thought. That would be my hypothesis.
It would be interesting to statistically analyze that question. Paging Randy

Maybe, maybe not
But more times than not, they will be more costly. For example, if you're driving down the field and commit a turnover, it costs you a chance at scoring points. If you are in your own half of the field and turn it over, you give the other team a golden chance to score.
Both turnovers and erros will happen, but errors are easier to work around.

A turnover is way more costly because football is way more important.

A turnover deep inside your own territory is like an error with 2 or 3 runners on base. Timing is everything.

they are equally the same...
teams in football with the most rushing yards and fewest turnovers win 99% of football games..
teams in baseball with the fewest walks and errors win 99% of baseball games..

I would say that a turnover is worse in a football game.
Conversely, a error would be more costly when baseball is the game.
Of course if the turnover (I prefer apple) were undercooked coming from the concession stand, it could be pretty disappointing.
JK. I couldn't begin to answer that question. Not that smart.

An error can be squelched by limiting damage to now runs.
A turnover in football ends a possession and changes momentum. And as someone else mentioned; there are limited number of possessions in a game to start with

It is two different sports. I hope this helps.
