AJ question is moot, he won't drop to 32nd, so we can't get him.

He wasn't a bust. I was a big fan of his.

the guy is trolling. Brees was Comeback Player of the Year in 2004 and led the Chargers to 12-4 record.

this guy throws the word "bust" around like he was Tim Couch or Todd Marinovich

I'd say after 3 more we'll start to see noticeable decline. Hopefully, we can lock up 3 more rings before then.

your head is to far up AJ's arse. You don't know what you're talkin about. AJ McCarron does what most Saban QB's do like when Matt Mauck won the title. He manages the game real well. He can throw better than Mauck, but he doesn't have a real strong arm. Don't glorify him as all world just because he had a good game against LSU in BCS. He looked awful the last game against LSU except for the last drive.

I did not say this. And it's too far up aj's arse, not to far.

Everyone acts like his arm can't get stronger, it can. But you can't teach someone how to drive for the win under pressure, you either got it or you don't.

Aj did what the coaches asked of him til the end, and when he was forced to throw, he won the game.
Great QB and the saints would be lucky to have him.

Some people take the grammatical error stuff much too serious(how's that for you) on a got damn message board. You know what I meant. And no AJ's arm strength won't get any stronger. You either have it or you don't by the time you get to the college level. There are certain throws you need to make at the NFL level that require a really strong arm. LSU's QB has a strong arm and will make a good QB if Cameron can teach him to play the position correctly.

AJ has average arm strength he will take to the NFL, but he has developed good game management skills under Saban.

I sort of wanted Cam to go to the Saints just to see what would happen.

Then thought better of it.

Dude doesn't do a lot of whole field reads and a lot of his throws when he goes vertical are predetermined reads.

No offense, but Brees' background was at Purdue running a one-back derivative of the Spread offense for Joe Tiller. Fun Fact: Kevin Sumlin was his WR Coach.

Oh, and Cam Cameron developed him early in his career.

As good as you think he is, professional quarterbacking is a far, far cry from what he's currently doing. He's had dominant run games, dominant o lines, and dominant defenses.

In the NFL, he will routinely face adversity and defenses that are far superior to anything he has faced before in his life.

I don't see him being an elite, Brees/Rodgers/Brady/Peyton. No offense, but that's not to say he might not be a good QB in the NFL.

But elite? Not a shot in my view...

EXCELLENT post.

It has nothing to do with Bama. I just don't want him for the Saints. He will be average at best in the NFL.

I do however think the Saints need to draft a damn good college QB if one's available next year. The Aaron Rodgers/Brett Favre method would work great. I really want Brees to tutor his heir apparent.

I agree with this 100%. The saints need to keep this successfulness going, and keep peyton at the helm. All I know is, the saints no longer need those damn bags of thier heads. I cant believe Roman Harper is still starting, pimp.
