It's a blonde ale, a very boring style.. I wouldn't go far out of my way to get it

I don't know if I've seen that one specifically, but I know Caladro's on Perkins and Government, and Whole Foods in Baton Rouge both carry Ommegang beers

It's actually a Belgian Pale Ale...and everything I've had from Ommegang has been solid, I wouldn't suspect that one to be any different.

Is it? It says Blonde Ale right on the label he pictured

If a pale ale, I'd like to try it too. I like everything I've tried from them. Abbey Ale and 3 PHils are some of my favorites

I think it's sold out, pretty sure it was just a one shot deal. I thought it was really good. Drank my last one during the season finale. I think they're supposed to release three more GoT tie-ins over the next year and a half to two years.

Ok, man.

I hope the next one is a style you deem worthy of a trip to the grocery store. FWIW...it got an 85 on Beer Advocate, a really good score for craft beers based on hit shows.

It's pretty good. I bought a couple for the wife who is a Big GoT fan. I wouldn't search it out but would buy it again.

I bought a bottle at Stein's in New Orleans on Good Friday. Really, really good. They had a few bottles at The Bulldog on Perkins, that was the only place in BR where I saw it. (And I probably go to Calandro's on Perkins, Matherne's on Bluebonnet, Cuban Liquors or Whole Foods about once a week). I had a bottle at The Bulldog about a month ago, don't know if any are left.

Uh, I definitely wouldn't say that about Belgians blondes. Westy Blonde is a fantastic beer. Russian River Redemption is another good one that comes to mind.

Are there even enough of these to justify making such a category? And an 85 isn't what I'd call "really good." More like pretty good. 90+ is when I start actively seeking things out to try.
