Just sold our big 25' bowrider, previously owned a 20' bay boat. Boat will mostly be used in lakes around Dallas, fishing in the morning, ski/tube in afternoons & weekends. Want something sturdy/long enough to handle Texoma and occasional trips to the gulf. Would like a decent crusing speed and a dry ride. Most lake fishing will be crappie/perch, trolling for sandbass and catfish. Maybe a bass or two.

Oh, and my boy will be born in a month so it needs to be kid friendly
Any opinions welcome....

I actually like these a lot, kind of a long the lines of what I am thinking. You speaking from personal experience? These lakes, especially Texoma get rough as hell.

I like the Nauticstar as well, but I have honestly never ridden in one of the deep v hulls. What's your opinion?

Recommended, you're welcome.

They are useful in large bodies of water.

I'm not a fan.

In my experiences they aren't too good in rough water.

Their bass boats are nice, but as far as bay boats, there's much better options.
