Staying at the Disney resort the Coronado Springs. Was looking to get some decent food without driving fifty miles. Any suggestions guys?
Had The Knife yesterday and it was okay.

One of the best meals I have ever had was a couple of weeks ago at the Animal Kingdom Lodge's Sanaa, which is African-Indian fusion food. Delicious, plus you can watch the animals (giraffes, buffalo, deer, etc.) move about outside the dining room window. Reservations are pretty much necessary and try to make it for when they open otherwise there is a back-up later in the evening.

I'll tell you honestly there are no good places in Orlando proper. There are good places in disney etc. But Orlando as a whole lacks anything good cuisine wise. I lived there, it sucked. The best paces to eat were in Winter Park and were chains like Houstons.

the only place in disney worth eating at is canada steak house the rest are blah. There are a few good places but they are far away from disney.
A great italian place is terramia wine bar and trattoria. Also del frisco steak house is very good.

there is a place in downtown Orlando called The Rusty Spoon that was really good. was taken there while on business last fall. of course, that was the only memorable place I ate on the trip.

Have been here since '98 and while this a culinary wasteland for sure there are some really good places.
Le Coq Au Vin is on Orange Avenue in Orlando PROPER
Amazing place that chefs in Orlando frequent on their day's off. The Bronzed fish & Rabbit are off the chain great. Their Duck Foie Gras appetizers and boudin noir are legit as well. Never have had anything less than a spectacular meal. LINK
Belle Belle Isle Bayou located at Hoffner & Conway not far from OIA is a legit Cajun/New Orleans restaurant....Exec Chef is from Houma and one of the owners is from Lafayette and returns there to get products....Boiled crawfish on weekends. LSU Orlandeaux Alumni group meets here. LINK
Dixie Belle's Cafe Orange Avenue for breakfast is top notch. LINK
California Grill on top of the Contemporary Resort at Disney is very very good.
Moonfish on Sand Lake Road is very good as well. LINK
Cedars is very good for Lebanese/Middle Eastern LINK
Seasons 52 as mentioned before is good, not great, owned by the same group that owns Red Lobster and Olive Garden.
Hope this helps!!
