My favorite stat:

LSU: has 15 prior trips to Omaha with 6 titles.

That means 40% of the time they get there, they win it all

44% if it happens this year.

The only other school with a higher % is Southern Cal

They have 21 appearances and 12 titles (57%), all championships before 1978 but 1.

Others:
Arizona. 25%
Arizona st. 22%
Miami. 17%
Stanford. 12%
Texas. 17%
South car. 18%
Cal st full 25%

F$U - the Blutarsky of CWS teams.

other notes:
quote:

1991
LSU - 12
Opp - 3.75
people tend to forget just how dominant the '91 team was when discussing the greatest LSU team of all time. I think the '91 team was the best, just ahead of '97.

don't remember this guy, yet he made the all-CWS team.

I wouldn't have guessed either, but we did play 2 more games than all the previous champions.
