I can see why UNC would be the favorite, they've been pushed to elimination games in their last 3 tournament settings

So having to play an elimination game means you should be the favorite to win?

Well it would mean theyve been tested and are used to surviving elimination games

And so that should make them the favorite in the eyes of Vegas?

It could also mean they have played sloppy and survived because the other team was sloppier (USCe). I have my doubts that they can rely on that to get them through the CWS.

The average gambler (just like the average american) is not knowledgable of college baseball. People who bet legally at the vegas casinos will look at rankings/seedings and make their bets. UNC is the #1 seed so naturally they will get the most money and have the worst odds. Same goes for #3 seed OSU and so on down. Pretty simple stuff.

According to Sportsbook, LSU & UNC are tied at +220 with OSU at +250. Before Sunday I'd bet LSU odds will get better.

No they won't. They were +500 before the Super Regional. That was the window to bet on LSU.

Weird that they have UCLA so high when UNC and LSU are at the top. Shouldn't them having to go through those two teams significantly lower their odds?

I think those are odds to win the CWS, looks like it is more or less by the seeds. I doubt they get much action anyway

I see totally different odds on Betmania. They have LSU as the favorite at 2:1, followed by UNC and Oregon State each at 5:2, then UCLA and Louisville at 13:2, and finally Mississippi State, NC State, and Indiana at 10:1. These odds seem to make more sense to me.

Tigers are the favorite at +200 at Bellagio.
NC is next at +250.
