ake that, capacity! We don't give a shite.
You must have not seen the article that discussed all the no shows at T.S. and that actual attandance has never topped 90k. We do a good job of selling tix but the butts are never all in the seats, apparently. I know its hard to believe.

This is a non brainer. I have bragged to people in other parts of the country about the SEC but I say that if you really want to see the greatest college atmosphere there is go to Tiger Stadium. I love being in that place at 7pm or when Bama used to play there at 7 I should say. The noise is deafening, the crowd is into it like no other, they go crazy when the band comes on. It is a wonderful atmosphere. The stadium needs some work and I'm not crazy about what goes on outside the stadium but when pre-game warmups start until the end it's the best environment in college football. Auburn is pretty good when we are there but no atmosphere is as great as inside TS. Bryant Denny doesn't compare for sure. Too many old money folks that are afraid their arse will get cold if they stand up I guess. We have a huge stadium and is very nice. Almost too nice I think is the problem. As a 101K seat stadium we probably have the least home field advantage in America.
Now go take this CSW so some other Big12 or ACC coach can talk about how the SEC really is THAT good.

* Actually the stadium has already made some outside improvements and is getting a lot more aesthetic and cosmetic improvements, mostly on the outside, and brand new grounds enhancements and additions; not counting the SEZ construction which has commenced.

* So the only thing that matters to you "on the outside" is a bunch of goofballs yelling 'tigerbait' at you?
You don't count the thousands of tailgaters and tents and canopies, many of whom have red and gold and white and purple people mixing together in discussion, dining, and a few cold ones?
If you gave them a chance, the representative Tiger fans who spend a lot of money setting up their tailgates would be only to happy to invite you in, once you realize that it's them you should be paying attention to.
It really would interest me to know why visitors put on a pedestal: the teenage ruffians who throw on an LSU tee-shirt, or the drunken middle aged types who have never set foot on a college campus. Just ignore them.

Hard to take serious any list that has Neyland 3rd. Place is a hole.
