I'd like to see the difference betweem unanimous votes this season compared to other seasons.

I've been watching season 2 (will and boogie's first time) and there has only been 1 unanimous vote so far and it's down to 5 people.

Last season was pretty much universally considered one of the better seasons.

I think having Elissa on ruined the season from the start. I think having a true non biased mvp each week would have changed the season a little.

However, weakest cast as far as playing it safe in history.

I watched it recently and liked it. sucked not having a POV though

Season 7 was pure greatness with will and boogie

just finished season 2, there was 2 unanimous vote offs. Tell you what, BB must have been on a tight budget back in the day. I forgot how cheap the comps were. I watched BB Allstars back when it originally aired but I'm about to watch it again.

When you look at American Big Brother versus some of the other's (UK, Canada, and Australia for instance), the set is always cheaper and less extravagant than its international counterparts. There is also significantly less for housemate's to actually do in the house and less activities/random competitions ordered by Big Brother.

I guess part of the reason is that the US prize is the largest of all the Big Brother shows, but you'd think they could upgrade the set more than the basic re-dressing they do each season.

I sort of miss the old competitions they use to have. The food competitions where they had to win specific foods for the week (beef, vegetables, alcohol, etc.) before all this Have/Have-Not business. Also the luxury competitions where they had to earn the right to use the hot tub and pool table.

I do as well, especially when we're at this point in the season and there's just a miserable cast talking about the same crap every day.

A friend turned me on to the current season of Big Brother Australia (which can be found on Youtube). I'm not a fan of the nominations and eliminations format (same as in UK), but the cast is very solid. They then sprinkle in small tasks and challenges to appeal to the cast members' character traits and you have some supremely entertaining television.

A funny thing is the live studio audience's reaction over the events on the screen. Makes you feel like you're watching old Saved by the Bell episodes with the laughing and "ooohing"/"aahing" over the footage.

I hate that Ian won over Dan, he was just this weird little creeper who was always a have not which kept him off the block.

I agree that Dan deserved to win over Ian last year.

I disagree.

Dan's funeral was the best strategic move I've seen to save someone on the block, but Ian's transformation was equally as impressive. They wanted Ian out after two nights. Boogie helped make him a better player and he was dragged into the Quack Pack. At that point, he had all sides covered.

Dan made too many enemies last season. His only true ally was Danielle. Everyone else went to jury, bashed Dan, and ended up voting for Ian.

ETA: As good as Boogie was, he did get outsmarted by Ian.

Pretty much agreed. Did think Dan should have won based on how he made it to the end with a huge target on his back the entire time, but understood why the jury voted the way they did. Dan did himself zero favors in the jury question and answer portion. Thought he would come out strong but came off really poorly during that segment.

Helen to Elissa last night: "You think America was MVP and they were trying to tell us something by nominating Amanda?"

While I still think Dan should of won unanimously, you are absolutely right that Ian's backstab of Boogie was one of the biggest shocks ever. that's right up there with the unanimous eviction of Judd.

Boogie made Ian the man he is today, and NEVER saw Ian coming after him. It was insane that Boogie never even sniffed it.

Also, I loved watching Ian freaking out when he got HoH on the double eviction night, dude was a MASSIVE ball of nerves and stress for those 15 minutes.

I forgot how much I liked Ragan. Usually the gay guys are annoying, but he actually brought some personality to the game instead of bouncing from room to room killing conversations:

Elissa agrees with you.

Elissa tells Aaryn - I am Rachel's sister. They cast me for a reason. They're not going to get rid of me.

She is going to completely lose what little mind she has left when Helen leaves and doesn't return. That should be fun to watch.
