Need some advice on "Justified"

Just started S3 of Justified
HOW IN THE frick DID I MISS THIS SHOW???
I have been completely worthless for the past few days. This has been the closest thing to getting wrapped up in a good novel as TV gets.
Oh, and I haven't had a crush on a character like Winona in some time
Doesn't hurt that her female foil isn't exactly chopped liver either
So this is what I need now: Do seasons 3 and 4 stack up to the setup of season 1 and lofty standards of season 2?
Or should I just part with the show on great terms?

So Season 3 is worth watching now and Season 4 is worth waiting to show up on Prime?

Im on episode 5 of season 2...I missed the bus on this one too. It's really good. As much as I really like Raylan, Boyd keeps me fascinated with this show

Oh, Boyd is the driving force of the show. Raylan is a great hero character, but Boyd as his vigilante equal is what makes the whole thing so fascinating.
Good writing is comprised of one element: Contrast. Raylan is contrasted with Boyd, Helen with Maggs, Winona with Ava, Raylan with Arlo, Boyd with Bo, Dewey with Dickey and Coover, Raylan with Gary, Raylan with Art.
And, as mentioned, the writers of this show have a distinct strength in dialogue, which is another great contrast given the material: backwoods, redneck Southerners holding these subtly intelligent, engaging conversations.
They managed to turn eastern Kentucky into one giant Gotham City.
ETA - Some more interesting contrasts (the key, here, that all these dualities not only fit under this one roof of a show, but work well with all the other pieces of the show):
Arnett with Duffy, Dixie Mafia with Cuban mafia, Frankfort crime with Lexington crime with Harlan crime.

one of the best shows on TV imo & Winona is a fox.

FWIW, I only saw this season and thought it was tremendous even without having seen all teh backstory. So yeah, definitely worth it!

So are you team Winona or team Eva?

If season 4 is the most recent one then it is well worth the watch.

Pseudo-Spoiler:
The last scene of S3E1 is one of those AWWWWWWWWWWWWW shite YEAH! moments, like when Banner turns Hulk in the climactic battle of The Avengers.
I could watch this show forever.
ETA: I rarely purchase TV series on DVD or Bluray.
I have the MASH box set, as well as Band of Brothers/The Pacific.
I think I'm going to have to buy this whole damn thing when it's all said and done.

I'm not sure. Are they on season 4 or 5?

My brother turned me on to this a couple of weeks ago and I breezed through the first 3 seasons on prime. Now I'm debating paying for season 4. Great show!

Season 4 was the most recent. Obviously it's nearly impossible to equal season 2 of Justified, but season 3 and 4 are at least as good as season 1 if not better. I'd probably go 2>4>1>3 for myself, but the last three are very close.

There is a string of about 3 or 4 episodes in the most recent season that might be as good as anything that you will watch on TV.
I highly recommend reading the postmortems on EW.Com with Graham Yost, the executive producer. It gives great insight to the episodes and makes you appreciate how much everyone involved with the show cares about telling really good stories.

The last 4 or 5 episodes of this past season were incredible. They took a little different turn with this past season with the whole mystery novel-esque feel they took with it, which was nice because it was different, but those last few episodes were are good as any in the whole series.

Y'all just convinced me to start watching "Justified".
This board turned me on to my three favorite shows, "The Walking Dead", "Mad Men", and of course, "Breaking Bad".
I'm beginning to doubt my own femininity - love college football and most sports in general, post on this board, and watch "dude" TV shows.

I think it's all about to start. He just gave the young girl a cell phone and said he stirred up a hornets nest lol. I guess it's about to jump off now

The interactions between Boyd and Raylan are awesome. I've loved this show since the beginning
