Could it have been? Nola was just awesome--his two hitter was the fewest hits allowed in a super regional ever. Gray pitched a great game--loved how the fans gave him an ovation as he left the game.
It was really a special game.

Is that in an LSU game or all games ever played?

This game was pitched so well I missed the whole 7th inning while standing in line at the concession stand.

Easy to second guess but you cannot take the bat out of our best hitter, one of the best ever at LSU...
Bottom line...we won!

I'd say for sure the best game pitched in the new Box. The old Box had a long history so its hard to say that there wasn't a better one for sure. But I don't remember it in my short time. Maybe some old timers remember some, but the bats were so lively back then that I doubt it.

Considering the combined efforts of both starting pitchers, I'd have to say yes. If there were a better pitched game, I can't recall it.

One of the best I've seen in years.

I hope not. I was too nervous to enjoy it.

It seemed like i blinked and it was the 7th inning already. Both pitchers were lights out.

Our baseball history of greatness really started with Skip coming in the mid 80s. Since I was a student then, it seems like not that long ago, but to some younger folks I guess it is. Can remember a better pitched game on both sides even in the old Box.

I think that may be the shortest game at the box too......
In addition 102 pitched complete game probably ranks up there....11.3 pitches per inning!

hell of a game. it was an honor to be there and watch do their job so well, despite my guys coming out on the losing end.
