I don't really care for tupac, biggie, has, big l, immortal technique, etc

if i'm listening to rap, it's to be entertained, not social commentary or deep metaphors. i do occasionally listen to the previously named artists, but much less so than 2 chainz, kid cudi, chief keef, juicy j and three 6 mafia, TI, gucci mane, etc.

early Jay Z and Kanye are about as "good" as i go.

if i want to listen to serious music, i go to other genres. is anybody else like this?

The only rap I listen to is what you define as "real" or "good". This "entertains" me more than boring watered down club rap.

You don't like Illmatic?

What about Outkast? They are considered legendary by hip hop heads and also have mainstream appeal.

How does cudi fit in that group?

I do, Illmatic and Reasonable Doubt are #1 and #2 GOAT albums IMO. They get old tho, after listening to NYC rap for ~5 years, I'm bored of it.

I like all of these acts a lot, I'm just over them I guess. I don't listen to them these days.

I meant to put TDE and the ASAP crew in what I like to listen to now, they are the shite

Same here. I don't listen to hardly any modern rap.

I like music that gets me hype. Illmatic and Reasonable Doubt don't do that too well

Growing up I was into Ja Rule and Jay Z... some DMX.

Now a days kid Cuddi and Blackroc are the only rap I can think of that I don't mind listening.

they are farr from being traditional hip hop IMO.

Talib Kwali
Mos Def
Del the Funky Homosapien
Aesop Rock
Wu Tang Clan
Army of the Pharaoahs

That is "good" rap IMO. They are rappers with real talent and write thoughtful and creative lyrics with catchy beats to back them up.

So in other words, outside of Cudi, you have a strong liking for shitty music.
