I dont like gettin surprised by things that i could have easily known about with some research...


Further, when does Caroline open back up do you know? Was it August?

Any flounders on the beach at night. I'm going 1st week in August and planned on bringing my light and gig.

Yessir, opens back up August 1. I will be in Orange Beach August 3-7, so will miss the first open Saturday. I bet the fishing is going to be on fire out there. I need to ride down there soon and check on progress of the launch.

We are staying at Phoenix East now. It's between the Turquoise and the bridge. Lots of folks fishing at the bridge right now. Be glad you aren't here.... It's raining a good bit and under a flood warning.

I wish i had more informationi on it.

Do you ahve to have any sort of stickers on a yak to be legal??
Can you put in one of those pelican two man plastic fishin buggies with a trolling motor??

I will be hittin it up that weekend. Ill have a report for you.

No stickers needed. That boat with trolling motor will be fine. No gas engines allowed. You do however need to print and sign this form, keep it on you.

ETA: Just the permit cutout at the bottom of page 1.

Last time I drove by, about 2 weeks ago, there were fresh survey stakes all over the launch parking area, and a tractor was mowing the area. I assume they are planning to be done by August.

Pdubya, thanks for the info. I hope the weather clears up soon. I am HOPING that if I fish the bridge area at night it wont be too bad....shall find out soon.

They dont have it layed out very well. From what Im seeing, a 7 day Saltwater Recreational License for Louisiana residents is $26.10.

we always have a blast fishing the bridge and bay... oh yeah.. the beach and the jetties tooo....

I'll be in Gulf Shores Aug 1-5
Not sure if I'll do any fishig but I will be out there at least checking to see what the surf fishing guys are catching
