seriously, he obviously knew about this before 4pm today when the active rosters were due. he had time to decide who will start and still going with Eades in game 1?

This rules violation must have just happened. Mainieri had better sleep on it and realize he has to save Eades for Sunday. It's the only logical move.

he must have known something yesterday. when he was talking about pitching in his interview the other day, he specifically said in a paraphrase, "Eades will go game one, Nola game 2, and then we'll go from there". He must have known something was up and was making a decision over the last 2 days.
