Sunbelt Championship: 3 seed ULL VS 4 seed Fl Atl 1 pm CST

Looks like ragin Cajuns can lock up a 2 seed if they pull it off....bats have been on fire in tourney.
If they win I don't see them in BR....I think they lock up a 2 seed against a west coast team.

If ULL is the only other Louisiana team in the postseason, you can bet all of your money that the committee will send them to LSU.

Why?
Because their rpi will likely put them at the house of regional in the 8-16 range.....
If they would have beat south Alabama regular season they d be a host......
A top 25 rpi doesn't usually go to the 1 or 2 national seeds house.

That's not how it works at all. RPI is used only to decide who hosts and who gets in. It's not like basketball where they try and even everything out.

Last 3 tournaments didn't have automatic qualifiers at top 3 seeds house.

Not to butt in on y'all's little argument here... but Broski you are wrong. We finished 1 game shy of a share of the regular season Conference Championship. TROY and South Alabama tied for 1st place and we beat TROY 2 out of 3 thus holding the tie-breaker over them.
Which means if we would have beat South Alabama 2 of 3 instead of losing 2 of 3 like we did, we would be at least Co-Champs.
And for the record, I think you both have valid points.... I don't see the NCAA sending us all the way to the west coast as a high 2 seed. And I also don't really think they'd want to send us to LSU as a top 20 rpi team.
On that note, I think it's a very high possibility they send us to the Miss. State regional as a 2 seed.
Let's see where the cards fall. One thing's for sure, UL's offense is absolutely on fire right now. Not to mention we lead the nation in home runs.... this isn't the same team LSU saw in a midweek game to start the season.
I still think LSU wins the regional if we are in it, but I think UL gives them a fight.

Oh and by the way, we already have a #2 seed locked up. We don't need to win tomorrow for that to happen. We are 41-17 with the #22 RPI currently.
