you would think that Sergio murdered an entire village of small children, burned down a church, and swore allegiance to the devil.

Idiot Trip Isenhour actually calling for him to not show up at the US Open and saying he should make recompense by making a serious donation to the tiger woods foundation.

I'm now solidly rooting for Serge win the next three majors. I'm sick of the PC bullcrap and thought police. If the media got this indignant over real atrocities in our country the world might have a chance

Solid post... Most people on here hate Sergio... And although I agree he is a head case and really a pussy when it comes to golf... I love some trash talk here and there in our sport... They don't have to all get along... Here's hoping for Sergio tiger showdown at Merion... It's a ball strikers course so look for Sergio to be in contentio

Thing that kills me is I really don't think Sergio has a clue what the Fried Chicken reference means historically. He was simply parroting Fuzzy.

He's from fricking Spain. What frame of reference does he have of Racial stereotypes in this country.

Next thing you know, USA Today devotes 3 Fricking pages to Sergio's "Atrocity"

I get what you're saying, but Sergio has no chance at Merion, and it has nothing to do with his golf game. If he thought the New York crowd was rough at Bethpage years back, just wait until he gets a taste of Philly fans. They'll have his head so messed up, he'll be lucky to make the cut.

I'm a Tiger fan, but it's really a shame Sergio can't embrace this hate and rise above. He'll almost certainly crumble.

Ya but I don't get the sense that the fans and crowd truly have it out for him like they did in NY.. He was soooo slow which is what fed the fire at Bethpage... But him and Tiger having beef isn't as big to the crowd I don't think... I actually think he may be gaining some fans because of this..

The media loves Tiger. They'll play him as the victim and milk it for all its worth.

So he knew what Fuzzy said but wasn't aware of what happened to Fuzzy afterwards?

he probably doesn't. if he has ever been in a fried chicken restaurant he likely has seen many black people in those establishments as well as whites, etc...I don't see how saying the name of a food is racist. hell, I would never get offended by someone saying all white people eat ______food.

Think about it. Unless Serg is some kind of American History buff, why would he know about such racial stereotypes or the significance.

I just don't think Garcia is a very bright bulb, or "Bombilla" as his countrymen might say.

Couldn't agree more with your original post.

Then again, in a country where it's "All Jodi F*&#ing Arias, all the time," it's become obvious that we as a society have become addicted to these "Non-Stories." Where CNN was once a source for news, It's now just sensationalist garbage.

Talk about depressing, stand in the grocery check out Aisle and take a gander at all the trash-rags devoted to Pseudo-celebrities, bachelors, Teenage Moms, "real Housewives" Kardashians,

While I'n not defending political correctness, they really can't just brush the incident off after what they did to Fuzzy.

After all there isn't any racism in European sports, is there? Let's ask Balotelli who is taunted all the time. Racism is worse in Europe with the chanting so Sergio is not off the hook.

Ain't that the truth.

And the European Tour equivalent to Tim Finchem helped Sergio by saying that he has several colored friends.

HUH, "serve him fried chicken everyday". Doubt if he'd say that to Phil, Rory, etc. There's a reason why he said it about Tiger. Think. I don't care what country he's from. He knew what he was doing. Hell even in Europe soccer fans make monkey noises and throw bananas at black players.

ETA: He claimed he had no idea Fuzzy said that.
