re: Android Rides Mobile To Extend Its Lead In Computing Platform Share

Oh look, it's turned into this thread again....

I've had Blackberrys, iPhones, and switched to Android last fall when I was up for an upgrade to give it a shot. I got an HTC One X. It was by far the worst smartphone I've ever owned.

There's a lot about Android I liked. There's a lot I didn't like, the bloat ware and complete lack of updates from AT&T being a big part.

I want a device that is reliable and will serve its purpose in my lifestyle as my communication and media center. My One X constantly would go dead, or had data problems. Using the GPS would cause it to heat up beyond usability. I went through three of them before I got rid of it, all with the same problems.

My iPhone is reliable. Period. I don't have to worry about making a mistake with a manufacturer making a sub par product. Am I able to do everything on it that I could on an android phone? Not exactly, but it meets my needs.

I'm probably one of the few people that likes the form factor on the iPhone 5. I don't want a mini tablet riding around in my pocket. I have an ipad for larger screen needs.
